Hello angel faces. Welcome to another day of tasty foodsies in your adorable belly.
So, for whatever reason, I’m really struggling to figure out what types of cookies to make so please feel free to drop some ideas of what you’d like to see.
Ok, so since we back on this, a girl went out and baked some bomb ass almond cookies. So, I would be humble about it but we all know I’m not that guy and I will put in zero effort into faking the funk. My sister called them “bomb dot com”.
Mazishe.
Needed for the Bake
- 115g butter, softened
- 100g white sugar
- 1 egg
- 3 teaspoons almond essence
- 75g almond flour
- 90g bread flour
- 75g cake flour
Gettin’ it together
Line baking trays with parchment paper and preheat oven to 205 degrees Celsius.
Beat butter and sugar together until pale and light.
Beat in the egg and almond essence until well combined.
Gradually mix remaining dry ingredients until fully incorporated.
Drop teaspoonful’s of dough onto prepared baking trays 2.5cm apart.
Sprinkle almond shavings on dough and lightly press down with wet fingers.
Bake for 5-8 minutes or until cookies are lightly baked.
In the belly
Oh, yum yum yum. In my belly, it’s so good. In my tummy. Cookie cookie cookie. So, so goodie. I can eat two bucket loads of this shit. But as I always say this I decided to ask my completely unbiased sister who is currently living at my cribo rent free to review with positive outcomes or risk being thrown out on the street to give a fair and completely honest opinion. Here it is:
“Chewy. It doesn’t crumble too much. The smell. I like that it tastes delicate, and, and it’s the almond but you won’t know. And the almond fakes look like chocolate chips. It smells amazing. And the small small crunch from the almonds. The smell is my favourite, yea, I love the smell. Its poppin’, its poppin’.“
These were good man, not tryna front and also, they are super simple to make and don’t take too much effort and skill. I know I always say that but id rate these are probably one of the easiest things I have ever made. No time, little effort, all the taste. But also, let’s not lie, almonds and almond flour aren’t the cheapest but it’s not wildly priced. This is also the perfect marriage between price and taste because these are things id bake for my rich auntie when she starts acting extra. Also, I would bake these for me to binge eat on a Sunday while binge watching Game of Thrones in my oversized “702 walk the talk” t-shirt from 2012. Balance guys.
If I were to host a high tea or book club type thing I’d definitely make these again to class up the joint because I sure have no clue how to do that on my own. These allow a subtle decadence to the ordinary flavour’s we experience on the daily. Next time I make these I hope to be rich and fancy enough to use Amaretto Liquor, use 2 teaspoons of this instead of the almond essence if you have some, but right now I am on the lighter side of rich and must explore within my budget.
In short. Go make these hoes.
OMG you make this sound so easy! Okay I think I need to make these for my family. Not a huge sugar fan so I’ll taste but yoh these sound bomb.com as your sister said!
